This is a dialoge about Mobbing. It's a topic that we're maybe gonna have for the oral exam in English next Wednesday.
Aya: Hey, Aya. What's going on? Why do you look so sad?
Dat: Well, maybe because I am sad? I'm getting picked on at school. There's a boy in my class who is always abusing me. The whole time he's trying to make me feel bad and getting me down. The problem is, that the other boys are all on his side. I really want him to stop, I've asked him hundrets of times, but he was like: 'Well, I don't care what you want.'
Aya: Did you speak to a teacher of you? I think they can help you best. But I'm willing to help, too. So tell me your problem and I'm gonna try to make you feel better and maybe talk to this person that is bullying you.
Dat: Alright. But what should I do? Should I pretend to be someone I'm not just to fit in with these boys? What advice do you have?
Aya: You should know that it's something that we all have to deal with. Even though it's sometimes really hard to ignore the things they say, it shouldn't affect you. It's definitely nothing to take personally. Just don't let it get you. The reason why people pick on other people is that it makes them feel strong, but deep down they know they're not.
Dat: But it's so hard. The last time for example I was sitting in the classroom and then he came across and said really hurtful things about my grades this year. You know, my grades are horrible, but that's not the point. I was really sad, because I know that my grades are not good, but it's not his problem!
Aya: Maybe something is going in his life and he thinks that he has to make other people feel bad so he can feel better. Bullying is something that is really hard to deal with.
Dat: I know that it doesn't matter what people think about me. But can't he just leave my alone? I don't need him in my life. But obviously he has no hobbys so he needs to make other people feel bad. That's so pathetic.
Aya: Does he pick on other people?
Dat: To be quite honest, yes. So many girls in my class are getting picked on by him. And some guys.
Aya: But where's the problem then?
Dat: I want to make him stop. It's frustrating. I hate him.
Aya: Life is too short to have hatred. The best advice I can give you is that you should ignore it and don't let it get you.
Dat: I'll try. And I'll tell the other girls. Thank you so much for helping me.
Aya: I love helping people. You're such a nice girl, you don't deserve to get picked on.
